A little something for all the geocachers who have a need to find a
geocache no matter what the condition outside.
Just because there is more than a foot of snow on the ground is
no reason to STOP caching. In Vermont from about Decenber to late
March, there is snow on the ground, getting up to 4 feet deep or
more at times. Caching in Vermont does not shut down for a little
snow.
Having found over 200 caches in Vermont and almost that many
over the border in Quebec, you quickly learn what the
phrase"Winter Friendly" means in a cache description---that
it is findable in 3-4 feet of snow without any digging. (Not that I
have ever done any snow diffing since all my finds were between May
and September.)
Not that it should ever happen here but this one is "Winter
Friendly" up to about 7 feet of snow!
