Cache in Trash Out Event.

Thringstone’s CITO 2010

We’d like to invite Geocachers to a Cache in Trash Out event to help the Friends of Thringstone in their efforts to tidy the village and surrounding area.

The “Friends of Thringstone” is a volunteer group who try to improve the historic village of Thringstone (visit link)
In 2009 they were awarded an “Outstanding Neighbourhoods” award from RHS East Midlands in Bloom for their efforts.

The event starts at 10 am on Saturday 12th June 2010 in the car-park on The Green, Thringstone; N52° 45.049 W001° 22.104. Parking is also available in the Community Centre car park.

Reflective jackets, gloves, bags and litter pick sticks will be loaned for the event but if you have your own please bring them.

Children are welcome to take part but you will be responsible for their supervision.

We will be clearing litter until about 12.30pm when we will retire to the Community Centre for lots of geo-chat and where jacket potatoes will be provided!

Co-ordinates for new caches placed for the event will be available after lunch.
Please log your “Will Attends” and state how many will be in your party so that we know how many to cater for.
