Gradac was transformed from a plain rock into a public park in 1898. It is still the largest green area in the vicinity of the Old Town, perfect for hiding from a midday heat in summer. This park is also a regular host to many performances of Dubrovnik Summer Festival. In the small peninsula 'Dance' on its south side there is a Franciscan female monastery with a church built in 15th ct. The spot is lovely and peaceful, especially in the sunset of a clear day. This little church hides some of the most important paintings of Dubrovnik renaissance art. The beach below is one of our favorite places for swimming, and it's also a birth place of the world famous water polo club 'Jug'.
Enjoy your walk, smell of nature and the views. The cache is in a less exposed part of the park, although it could be rather busy, depending on a period of day. Still it's not recommended to go searching by night!
Update February 2011: Since old box is missing the cache moved to new coordinates.
Update July 2011: Since old box is missing again the cache moved to new coordinates.
