TeacherMatt: Thanks to everyone that has found this cache. I am moving out of state this weekend, and feel that this and my other caches have run their time. With the removal of this cache, new possibilities open for others to place caches in this area.

Geocache Description:

The above coordinates will NOT take you to the cache, instead they will take you to the starting point. With all of the restrictions for hiking in public parks after dark, we decided to make our night cache in the downtown Fredericksburg area. We hope you enjoy finding this one as much as we did hiding it.

This is a micro cache hidden in the town of Fredericksburg. The path will be along the streets of the downtown area. Round trip is roughly 1 mile. To find the micro cache, you need to know the following facts:

The above coordinates are the starting point—there is a free public parking lot nearby—stand on the manhole cover on the sidewalk and look towards oncoming traffic
Plan on doing this cache between dusk and dawn
With that said, you should bring a flashlight
Follow the trail of reflective markers to the cache
The markers are 1/2 inch circles, watch closely, some are harder to see in lit areas
If there is one marker walk straight ahead
If there are two markers positioned in a 2 o’clock position turn right (see photo below)
If there are two markers positioned in a 10 o’clock position turn left (see photo below)
At intersections, try determine the direction of travel first. There is a marker shortly after crossing any intersection to confirm your course
Three markers in a row marks the end of the trail (see photo below). The cache is near!
At the end of the trail look around for the cache container. It is held in place by friction and it has some reflective tape on it
Bring a pencil and paper to sign the log and copy the clue for the It’s Elementary, My Dear Dmitri”“ cache. Please do not take the clue from the cache.

This cache location is in an open area, so take care not to be seen while accessing the cache. Please be sure to re-hide the cache well. Return everything as you found it and please no spoilers in the logs!
