Geocache Description:

UPDATE!!(2/26/03) THIS CACHE HAS BEEN CLOSED BY ORDER OF THE ARKANSAS PARKS DEPARTMENT. I HAVE RECENTLY BEEN NOTIFIED BY THE PARK RANGER, THAT THE MOTHER LOAD IS ABOUT TO BE REOPENED!! KEEP AN EYE ON THIS ONE, WE BELIEVE IT WILL BE WORTH THE WAIT!! (2/26/03)

Located in Arkansas's newest state park in the Ozark National Forest atop the state's tallest mountain. This is a multiple cache and was designed for the survivalist and adventurer who like to pack it in light. The first container is an 8 ½ X 5 ½” camouflaged waterproof box with a logbook and detailed instruction to the Mother Load. The Mother Load is a 12”X 10”X 6” deep camouflaged waterproof box with a cool GEOCACHE logo painted on the top. THE CONTENTS ARE BEING CHANGED AT THIS TIME, and a camera so you can take an action photo of your visit, and a host of other goodies. Please leave us the camera!!

The approach to the Mother Load is a gentle hike of about 45 minutes one way or a nice bike ride with some very easy rock climbing at the end on what we call the Devils Stair Case. No climbing gear is required, but is not recommended for small children or the out of shape couch person. The view from the cache site is one of the best in the state, and would be an excellent spot for lunch. We use the word load instead of lode to imply you might have to work for this one. Enjoy and good luck!!

Additional Hints (Encrypt)

1st Leg: The tree may be special, Look around, it's different!!
The Mother Load: I supplied a picture, that should be good enough.
