A fine walking tour of downtown Los Angeles
City of Angels
This is an Urban Adventure that has no cache to find but does offer a fine day of discovering downtown Los Angeles. The goal is to find all of the listed waypoints
The beginning of this urban adventure starts at the North Hollywood Metro Rail Red Line Station located at 118 22.583 34 10.121. Board the train and exit at Pershing Square.

1. The Biltmore Hotel

When it opened in 1923, the Biltmore Hotel was the largest Hotel west of Chicago.
Some of the significant events in the Biltmore's history include:
The founding of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences occurred here May 11, 1927.
Douglas Fairbanks announced an awards ceremony would be created. Those awards are now known as the Oscars.
In 1960 John F. Kennedy was nominated for president here.
The murder of the Black Dahlia remains unsolved; she was last seen alive stepping out of an auto in front of the Biltmore Hotel in 1947.
