This artistic landmark is easily missed while traveling west of Amarillo.
I stopped by the Cadillac Ranch on my way home after a week of exploration in the Arizona desert. I was amazed to see that no cache had yet been placed for this famous spot. Even though you're encouraged to explore the ten Cadillacs that have been planted nose down in the Texas dirt, this is officially private property. That's why I made this one a virtual cache. Here's the lowdown on Cadillac Ranch from roadsideamerica.com:
The Cadillac Ranch, located along the tatters of historic Route 66, was built in 1974, brainchild of Stanley Marsh 3, the helium millionaire who owns the dusty wheat field where it stands. Marsh and The Ant Farm, a San Francisco art collective, assembled used Cadillacs representing the "Golden Age" of American Automobiles (1949 through 1963). The ten graffiti-covered cars are half-buried, nose-down, facing west "at the same angle as the Cheops' pyramids.

To claim this cache you must tell me (by email--please don't put the answer in your log) which one of the ten Cadillacs tires won't turn. Say, "Hairy, it's the nth Cadillac from the west."
