Back in the olden days aka 2007 I placed a multi cache, “The Kelly Boys” as a follow up to my Bushranger series. It was a troublesome little multi-cache with waypoints going missing and the final becoming lost in the undergrowth. Overall there were 18 Smilies and 14 DNF’s. So I gave it up as being lost in action and it was archived.
Then about a year or so ago I was walking the dog in the area, the council had been doing some work upgrading the path and as we walked along, I by chance glanced to the side of the track and low and behold there out in the middle of nowhere sat the cache as bold as old Ned himself.
The container was still intact and the contents in a good dry condition so I re-hid the cache with the intention of activating it again but I didn’t have a gps or phone on me at the time so I thought next time I come by I will acquire a satellite reading.
This is a spooky strange area and I often wonder if sometimes supernatural forces or maybe alien intervention are at play after all the Force is active hereabouts, Daleks have been seen in the past, the Doctor often visits, Galaxy hitchhikers are about and the Lord has been here and I’m sure the terrain shifts and landmarks are relocated.
Anyway to cut to the story, I couldn’t find the The Kelly Boys again.
For over twelve months, on my regular dog walking visits I would stop at likely hiding spots and have a look but to no avail until just recently, while making mischief I stumbled once again upon the Kelly Boys. I grabbed them securely and re-located them to their current site, took some dodgy coordinates and now you have the chance of finding another cache.
Although I have used the original container and contents for historical reasons, this is a new cache and open for a FTF
