Geocache Description:

Our First Ever Cache ... and an appropriate place to put it!

Now that we have geocached across several states, and several countries its time we start to make our own contribution.

Thanks to ClanBeckett and abeck58 in establishing this cache - a family affair!

Our geocaching journey started in and around Toohey Forest, it is where we learnt the basics - how to navigate, how to search, how to log.  The Toohey Forest geocaches were some of the very first we ever logged.

This area is rarely visited, its a small pocket of Toohey forest boarded by the SE Freeway, Messines Ridge Road & Griffith University.

The cache itself is indeed a 'House that Aiden Built'

Please remember how you found the cache, and replace it as you found it.  THERE IS NO NEED TO UNTIE ANY KNOTS.  A close look and you will see that it is easy to release the system by simply sliding one of the loops.

Inside you will find the log contained in a photo canister.

There are several ways to get to the cache -- and if you are a bit hardcore it is actually possible to go direct from pretty much any point on Messines Ridge Road.

If you want something a little more controlled, follow the fire trail that departs opposite the road that leads to the University Residences.  If parking at the University remember that at some times you do need to pay to park.

PS:  Watch out for the meat ants... there are a few nests within a 15 metre radius, but none at the spot itself.  They hurt.
