Im Jahr 2015 ist es soweit: am 19.-21. Juni findet das MEGA am MEER in Bremerhaven statt! Nachdem die norddeutschen Cacher in den letzten Jahren vergleichsweise wenige große Events in ihrer näheren Umgebung hatte, findet nun endlich wieder ein groß organisiertes MEGA Event an der Nordsee statt.
Bremerhaven eignet sich ausgezeichnet als Standort für ein Event mit vielen Cachern: Allein in der Seestadt befinden sich knapp 300 Geocaches, im 25 km Umkreis sind es über 1.300 Dosen! Und nicht zuletzt liegt Bremerhaven an der Wesermündung zur Nordsee, weshalb wir auch die Event-Location direkt an der Waterkant gewählt haben.
Geplant ist ein vielfältiges Programm für verschiedenste Cachervorlieben: Vom maritimen Cacher-Basar über Live-Musik bis hin zu Spielen für die Großen und die Kleinen ist alles dabei. Nähere Infos zum genauen Programm folgen in Kürze. Der Ablauf sieht so aus:
Freitag, 19. Juni 2015: "Moin Moin"
Nachmittags bis Abends: gemütliches Eintreffen, Ankommen, Zusammensitzen und Quatschen bei Musik, Bier und Fischbratwurst.

Samstag, 20. Juni 2015: "MEGA am MEER"
Haupt-Eventtag von 9:00 Uhr bis 22:00 Uhr mit Logbuch, Shoppingmeile (ab 10:00 Uhr) und diversen Programmpunkten wie z.B.
- Führungen durch Museen und Ausstellungen,
- Open Ship auf dem DGzRS Kreuzer "Hermann Rudolph Meyer",
- Hafenrundfahrt mit Hein Mück und Lady Sunshine,
- Weserkreuzfahrt mit der MS Geestemünde,
- Containerterminalfahrt mit dem Havenbus,
- Konzert der Geocaching-Band Dosenfischer am Abend.

Sonntag: 21. Juni 2015: "Kiek mol wedder in"
Gemeinsames Fischbrötchenfrühstück und weitere Programmpunkte zum Ausklang des tollen Wochenendes.

Wenn ihr mitmachen möchtet, loggt bitte einen Will Attend und gebt an, mit wie vielen Personen ihr teilnehmen wollt. Damit dies automatisiert gezählt werden kann, benutzt bitte die Kodierung *Anzahl* in eurem Will Attend-Log, also zum Beispiel *2*, wenn ihr zu zweit seid! Auch Kinder zählen als ganze Personen.
Durch den "Will Attend"-Log erhaltet ihr alle Announcements automatisch per E-Mail und seid so immer auf dem Laufenden.

Welcome to the MEGA am MEER ("Mega at the Sea"), that takes place in Bremerhaven, Germany, from June 19th to 21st 2015. In the past years, there were only a few larger events in Northern Germany, but now we are proud to invite you to this beautiful region at the sea.
Located at the mouth of Weser river, Bremerhaven is ideal as a location for a large geocaching event with many cachers: the city at the North Sea has about 300 geocaches on its own, over 1,300 geocache containers are placed in a radius of 25 km around the city! The event area is located directly at the Waterkant of the city center. The Weser embankment is surrounded by a huge number of attractions, what makes it an ideal place for a vivid program.
We plan to address various geocacher preferences: from a maritime cacher basar through live music and games for big and little ones. More program details will follow soon. The preliminary schedule reads as follows:
Friday, June 19th 2015: "Moin Moin"
Afternoon and evening: arriving, sit together and chatting.

Main event day (09:00 am to 10:00 pm) with games, shopping area, various program points such as tours, boat trips,... during the day like
- Guideed tours through museums and exhibitions,
- Open Ship on the DGzRS cruise ship "Hermann Rudolph Meyer",
- Harbor tours with the ships Hein Mück and Lady Sunshine,
- Weser cruise with the ship MS Geestemünde,
- Tour through the container terminal with the Harbor Bus,
- Concert of the Geocaching-Band Dosenfischer in the evening.

If you would like to participate, please log a will attend and tell us with how many people you want to join. To help us counting the attending people, use the encoding *number* in your will attend log, e.g. use *2* if you plan to join the MEGA am MEER with two persons! Children count as full persons, too.
By logging a "will attend", you will receive all announcement logs automatically by e-mail and will always be up to date.
