This is the Annual General Meeting for GoSA. For those who do not know, GoSA is the association who's members were responsible for organising the MEGA event in 2012. It's time to meet and cover some formalities and then socialize afterwards. All geocachers are most welcome to join. We are also looking for volunteers to run with the planning of the next Mega event.
The formal part of the event will take place from 2:30 to 4:00 and we will follow the agenda as specified below. At 4 O'clock, we'll have a braai and socialise. Please bring your own "dop and tjop"
We will arrange either teleconference and/or skype facilities so that everybody in South Africa who wishes to attend the AGM can do so. However one has to be present at the meeting to log the event as attended. Seating is limited, so please mark your 'will attends' early to ensure that we have enough seats for everybody.
The formal meeting will follow the proceedings as set out by the GoSA Constitution:
8. GENERAL MEETINGS
8.1 Annual General Meetings: All Annual General Meetings (AGM) have to be held within ten (10) months of the Association's financial year-end At least twenty-one days' written notice must be given to all members of the Association stating the date, time, place and business of the AGM, which business must include:
a. The Chairperson's report
b. The presentation of the Association's Annual Financial Statements,
c. The election of Organising Committee members,
d The appointment of a Qualified and Registered Chartered Accountant of South Africa (CA(SA)) to review the financial records of the Association for the next financial year of the Association, and
e. Any other appropriate matters relating to the objectives of the Association
