Take a break on your way to Queenstown and enjoy the views of Mt Arrowsmith and Mt King William. Drive the Wilderness Highway - gateway to Tasmania's 1.38 million hectare World Heritage Area.
We placed this cache on a recent trip on the Geobike to the West Coast and stopped here to put on our wet weather gear as the weather had changed dramatically.
The information boards explains The Great Divide - If travelling west you are venturing into the wet, wild, west coast wilderness which receives an astonishing 2.5 - 3 metres of rainfall a year. Or if travelling east you are journeying towards the island's lower and drier eastern half. We experienced this change in weather and thought this spot deserved a cache.
Cache contains logbook and pencil.
Please replace back in bracket as found.
