A fun cache you can get to on your bike, in a beautiful park. Container is a silver bison hanging about eye level.
This is the second in a series of geocaches that can be reached by bike. Mercer County Park is filled with terrific mountain biking trails and a paved bike/walking trail. The park is open sunrise to sunset, 365 days a year. Dogs on leashes are welcome anywhere in the park. There is a large deer population in the park. Watch for ticks. Take the paved path around the lake to the left, about 9/10 of a mile. The second waypoint (N 40 15.789 W 74 39.398) is where you need to leave the paved path and follow the mountain biking path. Of course you can also park and cut straight through the woods…there are paths all over. So take your pick! On the way to this cache, you may pass very close to GCP3R8 “Mercer Lakeview“ so check it out, too. My friends and I had fun here on a bike trip in December. You'll understand more when you see. The "2" terrain is mainly for distance from the parking. If you take the paved path this one has no obstructions and only a short distance off the pavement. You may need tweezers for the log. BYOP. Best way to replace the log is to roll tightly, place it inside the bison tube, and screw the lid on tightly.
