This cache is located on Whitefish Dunes State Park property. Entrance to the park requires a fee. The cache is in a small self-sealing container and the exact location of the cache requires some knowledge of the scow schooner Ocean Wave, one of many shipwrecks located off the shore of Whitefish Dunes State Park.
Within the park, a Maritime Trails Marker is located at the following coordinates.
44° 55.580’
087° 10.926’
Fill in the missing numbers from the questions below to locate the coordinates of the final cache.

In July 2010, the park installed a large anchor at this location and soon you will find an interpretive exhibit of shipwreck timbers that have washed up on the beach. You’ll want to check back at this location in the future! Many interesting plants and animals also make their home at Whitefish Dunes State Park. We have placed several identification cards within the cache. We hope you take time to fully experience the park after finding the cache.
This cache was placed as a partnership between Wisconsin Historical Society, Whitefish Dunes State Park, Wisconsin Maritime Museum, Door County Maritime Museum, and University of Wisconsin Sea Grant Institute. We hope you enjoyed learning the history of just one of the shipwrecks here.
