This is a plastic, waterproof box . Contains a log and various, small, items for trade.
The North Centra WV Airport, formerly the Benedum airport is a commercial facility serving the Clarksburg/Fairmont area. The airport has experianced tremendous growth in recent years. Commercial service is provided by Alegiant and Silver airlines. It is also home to several aviation related business. Bombardier provides overhaul service for regional jet airliners. Pratt and Whitney does jet engine overhauls. Aurora Flight Sciences is involved in composite manufacturing. Fairmont State College has their Aviation Training Program here, and the Army National Guard has a fixed wing aviation training facility. The airport is also home to the Clarksburg Composite Squadron, Civil Air Patrol. After finding the cache be sure to drive the short distance to the parking lot, adjacent to the Civil Air Patrol Headquarters, where you will find an original airway beacon. These beacons were used in the early days of aviation to light routes for navigation. Pilots would fly from one beacon to the next to get to their destination.
Keep in mind that, as with any commercial airport, there are restricted areas, however, the cache and surrounding area are well outside any off-limits areas.
