This is the view from near the cache location, it is the beginning
of one of the remaining old brick roads that went from DeLand to
Daytona. This road was constructed approximately in 1917 and was
realigned around 1944 to its present alignment. There are several
sections of this old road alignment still in existence but some
have been widened and reconstructed to modern day specification,
(Old Daytona Road from US-17 east to US-92 and Old DeLand Road from
I-4 connection road at US-92 west to Indian Lake Road) other
sections are still as they were originally, this one and another at
N29 07.931 W81 09.195.
Placed a quart sized camoed container here, shouldn’t be any
major bushwhacking but it is into the woods a bit.
Plenty of room for parking off the road but be careful getting
off and on the roadway the traffic is terrible.
Happy Caching
