You will need a telescope/binoculars,compass and a topo map. $5 first finder prize for Rich and Zhanna. Bring own pencil(try to use a pencil,pens smudge). Before leaving home you should work out the coords on the topo map or google earth.
This time the tree will be unmarked AND the location of the first container will not be disclosed. It will either be on or extremely close to the tree. Also, due to circumstances, the tree to find is not the cache tree. The cache tree is about 25' to the north.
Take a compass reading of 120°. Look right on top of the mountain for a group of pine trees (see pic 1). You may not even need to go to part 1 since I was able to get a good pic of it through the scope. The reference point coords are N 41° 27.711 W 075° 35.177. It took 2 waypoints and 2 trips to find the right tree. Because of the greater angle and the many pine trees, it looks quite different at the site(compared to as seen through the scope) than the first 2 caches of this type.
