You will need a telescope/binoculars*,compass and a topo map or google earth. I have been using 20x to 40x on the scope. Try to pick a somewhat clear day to go,preferably 3 hours before sunset.
Bring own pencil(try to use a pencil,pens smudge). $20 first finder prize. No hints until first found. It took me 2 trips, 4 waypoints and a little luck to find the tree. Also in the view are a white birch tree and a hunting cabin which *can be seen with binoculars*. Before leaving home you should work out the coords on the topo map or google earth. Take a compass reading of 145° at part 1. You will see a housing development. Line your scope up with the first road on the left in the development(41° 27.166 and 075° 35.922). Move the scope straight up until it is almost at the top of the mountain. You should see a small clearing and a "y" shaped pine tree near the bottom of the clearing. Keep in mind the tree will look very small. You should be able to see something white on the tree. Cache is approximately 90' away heading east under a flat rock about 1.5 feet wide X 2.5 feet long.
