Blawearie cottage This cottage was occupied until WWII but is now, obviously, deserted. It is an interested area though! Not only are there the ruins of the cottage but also the remains of a garden with a plum tree and some daffodils, and other plants, still growing.
The area near to the cottage was obviously occupied in prehistoric times as there is a very well defined burial mound, with some of the cists still to be seen, as well as cup and ring rock carvings.
