I brought a dozen travelers along with me today from Alaska on this adventure hiking the beach abutting the north side of the James Campbell National Wildlife Refuge. The attached photo shows all the visitors here at ground zero. My grandson and I were observing birds as we sought out this geocache here. While traveling along the beach, we photographed a half-dozen species of birds that were new discoveries for us! Log image uploaded from Geocaching® app

Anchorage Visitors Center - Log Cabin The sod-roofed Anchorage Visitors Center is home to the 'Anchorage - Big Wild Life' geocache, placed by Central Middle School of Science students in 2007 as part of a project to highlight southcentral Alaska's visitor information centers with geocaches. This is Anchorage's 2nd most-favorited cache, and is easily accessible during daytime business hours 7 days a week. It's located on the block set aside during the town's founding for city offices, and is right in the center of downtown!
