Hey! Where's my jet-pack??

When we were kids, the Year 2000 was far off in the future, and was full of unlimited, almost magical possibilties. We were told that we'd have housecleaning robots, vacations on the moon, and our own personal jet-packs to zoom around in.

It didn't turn out quite that way... some of the hoped-for things never materialized, although we did end up with some other things that we hadn't even imagined: internet-accessible mobile phones (internet? what's an internet?), microwave pizza, the Red Sox winning the World Series, and, of course, geocaching .

If you're an adult logging this bug, try to list something that you had hoped would exist by now (but doesn't). If you're a kid, name something that doesn't exist now but that you hope will be invented in the next 30 years or so.
