I want to visit Council offices and camps, the BSA National Headquarters (in Texas), and ultimately Brownsea Island in England. Of course, a visit to Gilwell Field is always a must! Posting pictures of Scouting in action and those who make it happen is respectfully requested. This is a celebration of Scouting in general, not just Cub Scouting. Keep in mind that the National Jamboree is in 2010! Boy! What an event that's gonna be!!
Cub Scouting was started in 1930 and has been going strong ever since. It officially celebrated its 75 years in February 2005. All Packs - adults and boys - were encouraged to work towards earning at least one of the four special patches only available during 2005. Also, February has been the traditional month for the Pack's "Blue and Gold" banquet. Want more info? Visit www.scouting.org.
