Les minières néolithiques de silex de Spiennes se trouvent dans une zone calcaire de la province de Hainaut en Belgique, à Spiennes, à 6 km au sud-est du centre-ville de Mons et à 50 km au nord est de Valenciennes (France). Il s’agit d’un site archéologique d’extraction et de taille du silex d’époque préhistorique. C’est un des sites archéologiques les mieux documentés et étudiés en la matière. Les minières néolithiques de silex de Spiennes sont inscrites sur la liste du patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO depuis 2000.
The Neolithic flint mines of Spiennes are located in a limestone area of the province of Hainaut in Belgium, in Spiennes, 6 km south-east of the city center of Mons and 50 km north-east of Valenciennes (France). It is an archaeological site for the extraction and cutting of flint from the prehistoric era. It is one of the best documented and studied archaeological sites in this field. The Neolithic flint mines of Spiennes have been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2000.
