I'm quite (un)happy to do some travelling around, meeting (un)happy cachers.
I'm getting used to this "Geocaching" idea now ...
Please take me to a geocache with you, log my TB tag there as a 'visit' and sign my name in the log book - This is very important because I'm only allowed to log a find if my name is in the book. MrsB of The Blorenges will write up my on-line logs for any caches where she sees my TB tag has been. Please don't log me a visit at every cache you find or MrsB will suffer repetative strain injury from all the extra typing! - Just take me to one or two of the best caches you find.
You don't have to place me into a cache (that will be a physical impossibility until I lose some weight) but just let me stay with you for as long as you want then pass me on, by hand, to some other gullible geocacher.
Please take good care of me and post a few pictures of my travels when you can so that Ms Tulip (my original owner) can see where I have been. Hopefully we will be re-united one day. Thank you.
Cachers I have stayed with: Munkeh, rutson, Lydford Locators, Mad H@ter, third-degree-witch, TMM-Sarah, pklong, The Hornet, Heffalump007, The Teddies, The Cache Hoppers, Scoobie Doo, signyred, Famous.Five, briron, Ratstastic, Ta11one, moltonman, The Forgetful Elephants, Sonatellas, Purple Pineapple, Mersham Mafia, Go pack Go, Tootsie's Trackers, The Moor We Hunt, Cachefourever, Esscafe, S+B, katphil, Write and Mane, cache_venturers, LinseyG, tremar, crastana.
Eeyore belonged to Lydia Tulip, a university friend of The Blorenges' daughter. When the girls left Uni Lydia came to stay for several weeks, bringing Eeyore with her. When the time came for her to move northwards to a job in Newcastle she couldn't manage to carry Eeyore and her wetsuit: Much to Eeyore's chagrin the wetsuit took priority and Eeyore was left to pine in Wales, occasionally appearing on MrsB's webcam in the Geocaching Chatroom.
Eventually the poor donkey could stand it no longer and he headed northwards to try and find his missing owner. Who knows what perils he may have encountered in that far north eastern territory? Fortunately (?) he fell into the arms of Munkeh who took pity on him and took him to meet a strange sect called "The Geocachers". Eeyore has gradually become more involved with their beliefs and travels the country, in random fashion, living with them and absorbing their culture.
August 2011: After wandering around the UK for a few years, Eeyore got the opportunity to visit the USA by invitation from the cache_venturers. He's currently in Colorado but he's happy to go anywhere that he can eat carrots.
February 2012: Eeyore had a great time in USA. He's now back in London, England, and hopes for more travelling adventures one day.
March 2013: Sadly, Eeyore has disappeared - Last seen in a bulb field in Holland. I hope he's having a good time, maybe exploring the delights of Amsterdam and the Dutch carrot fields. One day he may join the geocaching life once more when whoever has him realises he's not theirs to keep permanently...
