The Web of wyrd is an old Norse symbol that depicts the connection of the fates. It is a representation of the past, present, and future. For the Vikings, the Web of wyrd was a reminder that their past deeds not only affect the present but the future as well.
The symbol gained a special meaning to me after events in my own life. I hope it makes the different people through whose hands (and caches) it passes think about how their own decisions weave together past and future.

Found Bear of Wyrd in a lovely cache in Bolton Le Sands. He's been there quite some time, so we've taken him with us and will drop him on his next adventure hopefully over the New Year weekend.
