Toripolliisi-kulkija haluaa nähdä hieman maailmaa ja matkustella. Moni suomalainen menee lomailemaan Espanjan aurinkorannikolle. Saataisiinkohan myös Toripolliisi vierailemaan siellä.
Hieman taustaa:Toripolliisi oli aikoinaan kookas ja vatsakas poliisimies, joka vahti yleistä järjestystä Oulun torilla. Hänen muistokseen on pystytetty Toripolliisi-patsas torin ja kauppahallin väliin. Patsas on yksi kuvatuimpia oululaisia nähtävyyksiä ja sen luona geokätköilijät pitävät miittejäkin silloin tällöin.
Toripolliisi-TB wants to travel around and see the world. Many Finnish people use to have their vacation at the sunny cost of southern Spain. Could we get Toripolliisi to visit that area as well.
Market square policeman (Toripolliisi in Finnish in Oulu dialect) was a tall and a bit fat policeofficer taking care of law and order at Oulu market square in the old times. Today there is a memorial statue of Toripolliisi in the corner of market square. This statue is one of most photographed tourist attarctions in the city. Local geocachers use to have their events at the statue quite often.
