To bring attention to geocaching through his supposedly "cute little doggy" looks. (personally, I don't see it but others say he's cute...) His mama, on the other hand, believes he is adorable.
Brown Dog earned his kibble (for the first time in a very long time) while manning (or "dogging" to be more literal) a geocaching promtional tent at a local Earth Day event on 5/1/21. In honor of this monumental occasion Rick is awarding Brown Dog this tag to proudly wear on his collar. Rick doesn't think much of Brown Dog so this is truly quite an accomplishment.
As Diane and Rick stood under the geocaching tent at the W.A.C.F event, Brown Dog was tethered to the corner of the tent pole via his string (aka - leash). From there he performed his entire repertoire of three tricks, spin, bang bang and sing, repeatedly. This coupled with his supposed cuteness seemed to garner the attention of passers-by. While stopping to see the "doggy" many would ask about all the geocaching paraphernalia on display on the table under the tent. We (the humans) would fill the prospective newbies in on the hobby after they were stopped through Brown Dog's antics and incessant begging for food (they thought he was cute when in reality he just wanted their food).
None the less, Brown Dog performed superbly and went the full monty throughout the four-hour ordeal. Brown Dog earned his kibble and then some all in the name of supporting geocaching so this tag is duly awarded to him in honor of this accomplishment. Way to go Brown Dog. Your brother Schnickers (TB6FDHC) would be proud!
P.S.
If there is confusion as to if you actually met Brown Dog he is occasionaly refered to as "Finn" by his momma. This nomenclature is provided soley for reference purposes only. Brown Dog is Brown Dog. The dog answers to Brown Dog as Rick has called him for his entire life. Any other names are simply part of his sinister ruse to be cute and catch you off guard then steal your food.
