Juste pour information :

Just for information :

1. How to recognize a stalactite and a stalagmite?

The stalactite is on the ceiling. Calcite laden water deposits a calcite ring around it. Drop by drop, the calcite deposit increases, forming a stalactite. Water always comes from the inside so the stalactite is hollow.

The stalagmite is on the ground. The calcite laden water drop falls to the ground and deposits the calcite in a heap. The stalagmite is full.

2. The site of "La Belle Roche"

Scientists have discovered the oldest human presence in the Benelux. It was dated 500,000 years ago.
