This beautiful coin commemorates 2000 geocaches found by me, Pengwinldy. Since these coins go MIA all the time, I am sending out a proxy. The real one is displayed on my desk at home, next to my 1000 find geocoin and some of my other favorites.

Egg Hunt: I had to stop at Robbins Bros to get my ring cleaned today and still needed my COTD so decided to come here. Looked for a short bit then found it. Nice sized container and awesome swag, especially for kids. Traded a few things out and left two travel bugs.

Yoo-tileteē-Buy Bulk: Wanted to grab my COTD before work today but got a late start so after work it is. Costco was surly hopping this time of the day but I knew what I was looking for so made the grab PDQ. Thanks for the hide.

Red Roxx Toy Boxx: After our DNF on a nearby cache, I took OmaJudy up the hill. So much bushwhacking with all of this rain we had this winter, even on the trail. Then the cache was 80 feet off trail. I made the trek in while Oma watched from the trail. I found the cache and the friend guarding it.

Lucious: Was our grabbing a few caches along the trail and this was the third one. Found it in no time at all. Log was wet and lots of moisture in the baggie. Left a penguin.

This One’s For Zeber: I also don’t know who Zeber is but that didn’t stop me. Dropped off the kiddo to practice and had 2 hours to kill so I went caching of course. Read the logs ahead of time for all so decided to park at Espola and Poway only to be greeted by a big “Keep Out” sign. So, I drove around trying to find a way in. Parked at the end Bowdoin and made the hike. Going along the trail just after “Happy Leap Day”, I encountered the fence with the “private property” sign. I didn’t know of any other way in so I kept my head down and kept walking. The homeowners were in their yard but if I don’t make eye contact with anyone, they won’t see me, right? I’m pretty sure they did see me but they didn’t say anything. Got to GZ and I had a feeling I needed to get higher. I did and the cache was in the first place I looked. (Use your geosenses. Something didn’t quite fit in.). Signed log and left a penguin. Glad I didn’t have to spend half an hour looking but I was prepared to. I did enjoy all the flowers that are still in bloom.

Happy Leap Day!: Dropped off the kiddo to practice and had 2 hours to kill so I went caching of course. Grabbed three and read the logs ahead of time for all so decided to park at Espola and Poway only to be greeted by a big “Keep Out” sign. So, I drove around trying to find a way in. Parked at the end Bowdoin and made the hike. GZ has been overtaken my mustard plants but made the find nonetheless. Picked up an inchworm as a hitchhiker as I bushwhacked but I made sure to put him back.

A Bouncy Cache: when I first read this cache title, I thought it was because the coords were bouncing. Nope. If only I found this when my daughter was younger. She’d be in heaven. I pulled up to GZ and could not find a trail at all. The dandelion-type weeds and the mustard plants were as big or bigger than me. Despite wearing a skirt, I decided to be careful of the prickers and bushwhacked to the cache. I

Gummy Yummy in My Tummy: FTF! That hasn’t happened in awhile. I was planning out my COTD last night when this popped up and I considered getting out of bed so I could go for FTF but since I had just taken a shower I decided I would get up early and see if it was still available. It was. So, I got up and headed out the door. Brr. It’s cold this morning. Parked easily and made the short walk to GZ. Said hello to a muggle walking his dog and then quickly made the find. I have one of these containers as well and have been looking for a perfect place to hide it. Hopefully, it stays put for awhile. TFTC!
