Visited 8/14/2024 Wombatwandering took it to Meet and greet in London London, United Kingdom - 8.09 miles  Visit Log

Zipped into Regent’s Park, one of eight Royal Parks of London. The Royal Parks make up land that was originally used for the recreation, mostly hunting, by the royal family. They are part of the hereditary possessions of The Crown. Sadly, geocaches are not allowed to be placed in Royal Parks but we can still have events like this one. 🌹

Visited 8/13/2024 Wombatwandering took it to View of the Palace London, United Kingdom - 11.63 miles  Visit Log

There were train cancellations to where I had planned today so I took you on a last minute detour to Crystal Palace Park. The park was laid out in the 1850s as a pleasure ground centred around the re-location of The Crystal Palace, the largest glass building of the time, from Hyde Park. The Palace burned down in 1936 but a suburb had grown up around it. 💎

Visited 8/12/2024 Wombatwandering took it to My First Car London, United Kingdom - 11.37 miles  Visit Log

Another hot day in London. Took the bus to Twickenham for an event and found a couple of caches along the way. Twickenham is the home of the Rugby Football Union, with hundreds of thousands of spectators visiting Twickenham Stadium each year. 🏉

Visited 8/11/2024 Wombatwandering took it to City Belemnites London, United Kingdom - 1.07 miles  Visit Log

I’ve found no Earthcaches in this date so I dragged you into the City of London for one about fossils. Amazing how quiet the city is in this part on a Sunday. Thirty celcius though so everyone has probably hit the beaches or the parks. 😎

Visited 8/9/2024 Wombatwandering took it to Too Big to be in the Little Bridges Series Eastern England, United Kingdom - 58.12 miles  Visit Log

Took a trip to Mistley in Essex today for some high pole challenge caches. Mistley is believed to be the home of Matthew Hopkins (c. 1620 – 1647), a witch-hunter whose career flourished during the English Civil War. He claimed to hold the office of Witchfinder General, although that title was never bestowed by Parliament. 🧙‍♀️

Visited 8/8/2024 Wombatwandering took it to City of London Dragons - London Bridge London, United Kingdom - 32.48 miles  Visit Log

Zipped into Borough Market for lunch and found a new multi about the Dragons of the City of London that mark the boundaries of the City of London. The City of London is different to London City. The dragons are painted silver, with details of their wings and tongue picked out in red. 🐉

Visited 8/7/2024 Wombatwandering took it to Church Micro 277...Titsey South East England, United Kingdom - 16.76 miles  Visit Log

I met ACED37 at Oxted and we drove to the amusingly named Titsey in Surrey for a new series of caches based on the Carry On films (1958-1992). The humour of Carry On was in the British comic tradition of music hall and bawdy seaside postcards. Lots of innuendo which is obviously why these caches were placed in Titsey. Although the films were very often panned by critics, they mostly proved very popular with audiences. 👙

Visited 8/6/2024 Wombatwandering took it to 100 in City of London CHALLENGE London, United Kingdom - 32.74 miles  Visit Log

After a few days in the country, I took you into London for some chores near the Tower of London. 💂🏻‍♂️

Visited 8/5/2024 Wombatwandering took it to Lullingstone Castle South East England, United Kingdom - 28.15 miles  Visit Log

No rest for geocachers after a Mega. There were still lots of challenge caches to be found that were released for the SE Mega so I took you to Lullingstone Country Park near Eynsford, Kent. A former deer park of a large estate which was mentioned in the Domesday Survey, it was later sold to become an open-space and woodland park. The park and Lullingstone Castle are a Scheduled Monument and there is a biological Site of Special Scientific Interest as well. Very pretty place. 🐞

Visited 8/4/2024 Wombatwandering took it to SEM24 ~ 41 Stewart's Stroll South East England, United Kingdom - 5.78 miles  Visit Log

Started the day with an event advertising the 2025 UK Mega. The moved onto North Chailey in East Sussex to find the Stewart the Seagull geocart. Finished off the day with some pole caches and then an event auction. Fantastic Mega - well done everyone involved. Time to go home. 🐦
