What an incredible site. We walked 4/10's of a mile from a parking area near the gravel pit. The forest is amazingly quiet due to the fire. However, there is a strange and wonderful silence. The view is beyond spectacular.

My GPS batteries were on low and I did not have a spare pair with me, but I managed to get a reading near the cache and followed the description to the location. A wonderful finD.

There were three TB's at the site; after conferring with my geocache son in Florida (by phone, we had bars) who knew of no off-road sites for Ollie near Tamps (I had planned to mail him), we left him and took the 2 Jeeps.

Wrote in and this came to me in the mail. I felt like a kid who just found a really cool prize in his cracker jacks!
Have to find a cool place to put this one.
