It's too hot in Bangkok for a Siberian Husky! Please help him cool off as he travels around the world.
The picture on this coin was taken in New Jersey, USA in approximately 1977 and is a picture of me as a preschooler with my favorite Siberian Husky of the same age, Nikki. We grew up together on the Jersey Shore. He was protective, mischievous, majestic, and a bit goofy at the same time. He loved the snow, and digging holes, hated thunderstorms and storm drains, enjoyed chasing squirrels and stealing food, and was routinely put in his place by the cat. He also loved picking the vegetables from the garden and had a sixth sense about when my mother was about to come out to harvest. He alwasy beat her to it, picking the vegetables and throwing them around the yard. This is how he got the name you see on the front of the coin: Travels with Nikki, the Nicker TIcker Pepper Picker.
