Dutch Klompie = woodenshoe with a bottle-opener on it. I bought it on the airport Schiphol when we went on vacation in Lanzarote, one the Canarian Islands.

Now residing in Wigan where the mill workers all wore clogs at one time. They used to have irons on them so they could make them spark when they kicked them hard on the flagstones. One of my neighbours has a real pair of babies clogs, I will see if I can get a photo of your clog and them.
