Current Goal

My mission is to have my photo taken at military bases or with soldiers. If you have a uniform, I would like to be worn on it, perhaps with other medals, and photographed. We will add all photos to our gallery of American Heroes on my webpage.

About This Item

AmericanHeroTB.jpg

This medal is one of five Achievement Medals earned by the man in our family, our own American Hero. He served overseas in Korea, Egypt, and Iraq during his time so far with the Army and National Guard. He returned from a year in Iraq in late December of 2005. He is a gung-ho soldier who does a great job defending our country, and we are proud of him!

Post Script 5/6/07: This TB was sent home to us by CoolCache becasue somebody took off with the medal and left only the TB tag. CoolCache was awesome enough to add some interesting logs and a tag and info sheet to the bug, and then we replaced the medal with an Iraq Campaign medal, but it is the last medal "Daddy Hardings" is going to let us have for our TB, so please help us keep it on! Please take good care of this one. Thanks. NEW GOAL! ALL BUGS RACE HOME to Houston, TX There are geocoins involved for those who help our bugs the most. The one who gives a bug the biggest jump (mileage) towards home will win a coin, and anyone who delivers a geocoin to a Houston event or cache will be in a drawing for one. Please help us get our bugs home!

  • American Heroes TB and Charles Griffith Charles Griffith is my wife's maternal grandfather. He was a bomber pilot in the Pacific theater. He had many secret missions that he never disclosed to anyone. It was not until his recent death that we discovered the nature of some of these missions. What a soldier. He never even told his own family of the amazing things he's seen or done. It was an honor to take this picture of the American Heroes TB with his picture and flag. God Bless our troops!
