About This Item

Ryan's Travel Bug

The boys spent August in Cornwall with their grandparents and the plan was to pick these up from Tintagel at the end of August. Unfortunately the bugs didn't quite make it to Tintagel in time for the end of the holidays, so it's time to bring them home.

Any cache in the Old Glossop area that is big enough to hold it will do.

Hoping to move this closer to the M4 to give it a chance to move North - my son Matthew loves scorpions so I have to hide this from him!

Hey Ryan! Hope your TB likes the view from here. Not sure how helpful it is to you to be moving it here, but I'm afraid I didn't see the new mission until we got home from our holiday. And hey, at least the TB is moving again!

  • King's Quoit Ryan's TB and his friends take their last gasps of fresh air before jumping into the cache to be hidden away until the next cacher passes by.

Sorry Ryan! I had hoped to move your TB within two weeks of grabbing it - but sometimes the best plans can go awry. It was never my intention to hold it as long as I did. Unfortunately by the time I was able to be geocaching again, I had missed the new mission. In the meantime, your TB is enjoying a nice holiday in Wales.

  • Pendine Sands Ryan's TB and his favourite TB travelling companion - Darth Vadar. During their involuntary exile from geocaching, Vadar and Ryan's TB spent many a happy day together plotting dastardly deeds. Indeed, Ryan's TB is now the first scorpion ever to have mastered the Force, and is now a Dark Lord of the Sith!
  • Cache at Pendine? Ryan's TB spots a suspicious pile of rocks! Unfortunately on investigation, the pile of rocks turns out to be just a pile of rocks.... No matter, because someday soon Ryan's TB will find a cache to hide in!

Oops - Rendezvous cache is a little small to hold TBs so I've changed the bugs' missions to just get to Old Glossop.

Unfortunately we missed these in Cornwall, so it's now a race home - who will win - Ryan (TB15A7) or Sean (TB1599)?

Thanks to everyone who has helped this one along so far. Sean's Travel Bug (TB1599) is nearly there, and looks to be winning the (unofficial) race to Tintagel. Any help with carrying Ryan's Bug to it's destination would be greatly appreciated!

Not quite as cute as my mate the Travel Chook, but somehow still strangely attractive. Couldn't help but take this beastie home. Will try to find a way to take it SW in the next few days.

Don't think we can take the creepy crawly as far as Cornwall but at least we've brought it a bit further south in the right direction. Good luck with the mission and enjoy Cornwall.
