I received this awesome milestone coin from Turrell2 at the "Celebrating 2-5-10-30 K geocaching finds" event in Huntsville, AL.
I was introduced to geocaching by a mutual friend in January 2010 and was hooked immediately. Turrell2 has been my most frequent partner in crime in my journey toward 2K finds, including several power cache runs, as well as numerous quick lunchtime runs.
My 2000th find was "#23 #3" (GC23469) in Decatur, Alabama. This devious cache had eluded me for several years and on three previous attempts. Several recent finds gave me renewed hope that the cache was still there and a PAF confirmed the area I suspected the cache was hidden. I conducted a more thorough search of GZ and finally had the cache in hand.
Thanks to so many fellow cachers along the way, I still enjoy this hobby immensely after four plus years. On to my next milestone of 3000 finds.
