Last baseball game in Oakland for the A’s. The Oakland Coliseum was opened in 1966 for the Oakland Raiders football team. The Oakland Athletics played here from 1968 until 2024. It was a sad day but the A’s managed to get a win one last time! 🐘⚾️

This is the gravesite of Rock and Roll legend, Buddy Holly. Notice his grave shows the correct spelling of his last name, Holley. Despite his career being a short few years, he is considered one of the best and was an influence for many talents including The Rolling Stones, the Beatles, Elton John and many more. RIP 🪦👓

If you ever go to Lubbock, visit the Buddy Holly Center. Buddy was born in Lubbock before making it big in Rock and Roll. Unfortunately while on tour, his plane crashed killing himself, the Big Bopper and Ritchie Valens. Buddy was only 22 when he died. You can see his famous glasses that were recovered from the crash site in the museum. 👓🎸

Here lies the notorious outlaw, Sam Bass. Bass robbed trains and stagecoaches. The most famous robbery was the Union Pacific passenger train that carried $60,000 newly minted gold $20 pieces. He continued to allude the Texas Rangers until one of his gang turned informant. This led to a gun battle. Bass was wounded and found later. He died a couple days later on July 21st on his 27th birthday. He is buried here in Round Rock, Texas. 🤠🪦
