Current Goal

This TB is dedicated to my grandfather who served as a volunteer fireman for 35yrs. My goal is to be photographed at as many Fire Stations and/or with as many Firemen from all over the world as possible! Please take me with you to visit your local Fire Station and meet all the great folks that risk their lives every day. Hey...maybe we can get a ride on a fire truck! :) Then send me on my way!!!

About This Item

I have arrived back home in Eugene, Oregon. I will take Harry the Fire Bug to the two local fire depts, one city and one volunteer, for pictures and a possible ride. I will then place him in a local cache for further travels.

I have 'Harry the Firebug'. This was my first travel bug find. After seeing his travels and that he has not visited the northwest I have decided to keep him for the next six or seven weeks until I get home. At that time I will take him to my local city fire department station for a picture and the local volunteer fire department in North Eugene, Oregon for a possible picture and ride. Then I will put him in a local cache in an interesting place in or near Eugene for further travels. The story acompanying this travel bug is very touching. It is obvious this travel bug was launched by a very proud grandson. Gods speed for both you and your grandfather.

Found it (well Bill Paulson did, I just stood by with a somewhat amused look) and began the trek to get its picture with three firemen at the Valley Center, CA fire station at Lilac and Valley Center Road. Finally got it moving again to Arizona. Will post pictures hen I figure out how. Sorry for delay, bu happy to be free of the burden. I'll now log the drop.
