Mission is to travel all around the Europe. At least Spain, Portugal, France, Italy Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Poland, the Baltics, and the Nordics... Before it ends up back to one of the caches in Joensuu, Finland
Most important mission is to spread word on NFC
Äijä is one of the NFC -guitars made by Flaxwood. Guitars are made in Joensuu area Finland and except its electonic devices components are made of NFC (=Natural Fiber Composite = mixture of plastic and pulp fibers). All the plastic components are made in injection moulding process at All-Plast Ltd, Joensuu.
NFC -components are also used in other musical instruments. Their mission is to replace endangered materials such as ebony. Some applications for NFC components can be found from Violins or Cellos fingerboards.
Mission for this geocoin is to spread the word of possibilities on replacing endangered Ebony with NFC... Meanwhile this geocoin travels, I will try to learn to play my ÄIJÄ -guitar.
