In our family, numerous members throughout the generations have donned a uniform in service of their country. Thus breeding a deep respect for all those who do such, regardless of nationality. Everyone who wears their country's uniform accepts the risk that they may not return home, but they have taken an oath to defend their country, even if that means making the ultimate sacrifice.

This coin is dedicated to all those that have fallen and never come home, and to those whose body may yet reach home soil so that their families can have some form of closure and comfort. Like the Marines who stand guard over the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington Virginia, we as a people must stand guard over the memories of those that have made that sacrifice upon the altar of freedom, so that they will never be forgotten.
