Intended to leave this cute little geocoin in Hibernia Rocks, but found the cache container was disintegrating and soaked; not a good home for an adorable little coin. We'll try again tomorrow.

Picked up from another one of Angry Beaver's posse... we'll find it a home in Hibernia Park. Rural enough??

This afternoon I was looking at a list of area caches, and noticed that there was a gathering planned at the Victory Brewery tonight. Checked my schedule and found it empty so I headed over after work. I got to meet a bunch of local cachers that I had not met before.

It was half price wings night. Huge wings. I'm told they were turkey wings and I think they weren't kidding. Had a few glassed of Golden Monkey ale. http://victorybeer.com/beers/golden-monkey/

Passed the coin on to Mr & Mrs Hoagie, folks that live west of me, hoping it moves west around the globe and back to NZ.

Retrieve It from a Cache 10/17/2010 John in Valley Forge retrieved it from SRT - 82 Pennsylvania   Visit Log

Found this today in one of the few Schuylkill River Trail caches large enough to hold a coin. Though it is October, the weather was clear and warm today.
The SRT series of caches run along a 17 mile portion of this "rails to trails" path from the Manayunk section of Philadelphia to Norristown. The SRT continues on through Valley Forge National Historic Park to the former steel mill town of Phoenixville. Evenutally it will lead all the way to Pottsville in Pennsylvania's coal country. The trail runs behind warehouses, past former factories converted to high tech office centers, by golf courses and through beautiful park lands. All the while, the Schuykill River runs along beside you as you bike or walk along. There are even sections of the old canal system and remnants of dams and locks left from the 19th century.

Based on this coin's mission, I will look for a nice rustic cache to place it in for its next adventure.
