For my first Pathtag design I wanted to create something to honour the memory of my Mother Anna and this is my signature tag. Born and raised in Hamilton Ontario Canada my Mother was the youngest of three children. She loved to dance and sing and was an animal lover to a fault. She devoted all her spare time in her later years to caring for stray cats and could never turn one away that needed a home. She was a very responsable pet owner and made sure to spay or neuter all her pets and made sure that they were happy and healthy until she could find a suitable home for them. It is not surprising that I am a nature lover myself as I am my Mother's daughter. I am passionate about Fly Fishing and decided three years ago to take up the art of fly tying. Pictured on this coin is a fly I designed to honour my Mother's memory who was takin from us far too soon. This is a salmon fly tied with her favourite colour purple. She always asked me if I released the fish I caught so I made a promise that any fish that I landed with this fly would be released unharmed.
