Dr. Zira travel bug wants to explore the forbidden zone and beyond. She needs the help of geocachers to travel on this strange planet, and because she is an experienced animal psychologist and veterinarian, Zira will dispense helpful advice about human physiology and care (i.e. put a raw egg in their feed to keep their coat shiny.) From her starting point in our present-day 'California', Zira describes the forbidden zone as the 'Eastern Desert', presumably Nevada. Send her into the desert and beyond so she can uncover the hidden secrets of man's involvment in ape evolution.
Useful Facts:
Dr. Zira will call you 'Bright Eyes' until you prove you're not mentally inferior.
Dr. Zira is a veterinary surgeon and a respected animal psychologist in Ape City. She is married to the young archeologist Dr. Cornelius travel bug, and both of them work under Dr. Zaius travel bug at the National Academy in Ape City. Zira and Cornelius are both chimpanzees and are therefore very liberal, in contrast to Dr. Zaius who is a conservative orangutang. As Chief Defender of the Faith, Zaius has threatened Zira and Cornelius with charges of heresy, so they have fled to try and prove their theories of 'evolution'. Despite their differences, these three apes will enjoy meeting up and discussing their travels because they share a common culture and values.
The Big Picture:
Dr. Zira, Dr. Cornelius and Dr. Zaius also share a common nemesis, General Ursus travel bug, who is bent on destroying neighboring civilizations. Perhaps all three together can defeat Ursus...
