Current Goal

This TB got off to an interesting start with a mistaken identity and a near escape. But thanks to sabedrafam, the little shoe was rescued and all is well.

Its mission is to make its way from San Diego, CA, where it began as an ISTE 2012 tribute, to the east coast in Jacksonville, NC. Its journey will be used as a teaching tool to demonstrate geocaching as a classroom activity.

About This Item

This bug was made for walking

Pink flower shoe. Fitting for it to roam around and one day make it back home to eastern North Carolina. Later, it hopes to make its way to the home of its 'foster' owners in Westerville, OH.

It was my turn to retrieve it, so Eagle4mom and Grgrpa had to discover! It's been a long time since I was in school but we sure did NOT have Travel Bugs or geocaches then! The best we could do was to put a note (with our address) in a balloon and let it fly. Hopefully, someone would find it and write to us.

We were caching in the Mentor, Ohio area today and found this tiny shoe hiding in a guardrail! Well, I'll mark it as a discovery because grgrma grabbed it.
