The shell possessed by Turtwig has grown to protect Grotle's entire head, back, and short tail, and, along with its change of coloration to yellow, now appears sectioned. Turtwig's sprout has migrated to Grotle's back and grown into full bushes, which may occasionally be seen carrying brown, acorn-like nuts. There are three long, brown ridges on the top of Grotle's shell. Grotle’s lower jaw is yellow in coloration and has triangular extensions on the cheeks. Grotle’s feet are also colored yellow, with three claws.
Grotle has the ability to sense where pure water wells up.
Grotle will sometimes start to roll around in dirt and mud. This allows minerals to seep in and make its shell even harder. Grotle may also carry acorn-like nuts on its bushes.
Grotle live in forests, near sources of fresh water and nourishes itself through photosynthesis. It may also eat berries like most Pokemon.
Please try to have Grotle visit as many forests as possible. He is most comfortable when visiting State Parks! Because he obtains his food through photosynthesis he would love for you to take a picture with him around flowers and trees! Thanks!
