Albert was the 2nd son of John and Bertie Marshall, Born 8-24-18 in Calloway County KY, and died 8-14-91...Like many of his generation he joined the Civilian Conservation Corps, and was stationed in Vale, Oregon. Later he was a tank commander in the 10th Armored division in Patton's 3rd Army..The 10th was one of the divisions that relieved Bastogne during the Battle of the Bulge. He was awared the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. He was a switchman for the Illinois Central Gulf Railroad, and after his retirement spent much of his time camping..

Checked my cache, GeoPain, today & retrieved TB. Too bad I'm not going to Oregon until July, but I'll move it along just a little way closer before then, probably to Kansas.
