About This Item

Free Tilikum

Tilikum was a very talented and famous performing whale. He was kept in captivity under poor conditions. Isolated most of the day, he was kept in concrete bassins too small for him and it turned out that he caused the death of many people. If you want to know more, you should watch the documentary "Blackfish".

Tilikum est un épaulard de spectacle très talentueux et populaire. Il était malheureusement gardé en captivité dans de pitoyables conditions, isolé, confiné dans un minuscule bassin de béton ce qui l'a rendu agressif. I recently watched the 'Blackfish' documentary as part of the BBC's 'Storyville' season. I found it very moving as well as upsetting. Personally I can't see why any one would want to visit any animal in any establishment that is kept in poor conditions and out of their natural habitat. We will look atfer Tilikum and move him on soon.
