Current Goal

Original mission as a very large trackable:
To meet super hero geocachers at events and be photographed with them across the country.

New mission as a slightly smaller TB but just as big a super hero:
To boldly go where no... oh wait that's Star Trek.
To be photographed leaping over the tallest buildings (or other high objects) in a single bound.  Be creative.  Take Superman to any tall structure for a photo acting all Superman-like.  It could be the Empire State Building.  It could be the Effiel Tower.  It could be Mount Washington.  It could be your favorite tree or even in the window of a jet 35,000 feet in the sky.

Extra credit if you dress as Superman (or Superwoman) as well.

About This Item

enter the Superman theme song here

This TB was a large ball with super hero logos on it that may not have fit in most geocaching containers.  It is now the man of steel (man of plastic) ready to leap over tall buildings in a single bound.

Grab It (Not from a Cache) 11/13/2011 Bcarvalho430 grabbed it   Visit Log

Picked up on 11/14/2011 in Yarmouth MA at "FORE". Traveled the Cape today all the way to Orleans. Had hot chocolate at the Hot Chocolate Sparrow then onto a tour of CCRT and the caches along the way. Stopped in Taunton on the way to my new location.

After escaping Coyote Den, GCNE27, Big Super Hero decided to take it easy on Sunday, 11/13. He visited Baxter's Mill, GC22HDC, once again locating a cache too small for him to stay in. He continued on, thinking playing a little golf would be nice. He went in search of "FORE", GC1AZNK. Although this cahe was not among heavy traffic, it seemed a nice spot to stay. After a photo shoot with the press, he settled in to his new resort. A few hours later, Big Super Hero was grabbed from the cache by . . . . tune in next week to see if our new cacher will place Big Super Hero in another cache or if the fate of Big Super Hero will become unknown!

There are too many micros in Cape Cod so we went after the ammo box GCNE27 called Coyote Den. Big Super Hero flew in with his powers strong, making it past trees, going through paths of sand, getting all the way to Coyte Den only to find it wasn't an ammo box at all, just a zip lock plastic bag shoved in a crack in a rock. Big Super Hero was saved from the Coyte Den but was captured by cameras on his journey.

  • Big Super Hero takes off to Coyote Den
  • Big Super Hero flies through the tall forest
  • Big Super Hero looks out for danger
  • Big Super Hero notes that it is getting dark
  • Big Super Hero is slowed by the sand in the path
  • Could this be the end of Big Super Hero?
  • It's the end of the trail!!! No ammo box!? Tune in next week when Big Super Hero finds a cache to be dropped off in!
