I want to travel in the footsteps of my namesake explorer and travel as far East as the land takes me, maybe back to Khan's palace in Dadu (Beijing, China).
Marco Polo (1254-1324) was an Italian traveller who travelled throughout central Asia for 24 years for 15,000 miles. On his travels he famously met Kublai Khan in his mongol court around 1271.
The travel bug is part of a family of explorer travel bugs who are retracing the footsteps of great explorers sent on their way by GJJLK.
