This GeoCoin's origins are at the 2010 National Scout Jamboree in Fort AP Hill, Virginia as a commemorative of the 100th anniversary of Scouting and was taken home to Massachusetts by a Scouting volunteer who served on Staff there. It has now been placed in the GeoCache of Boy Scout Troop 9 of Worcester, a very active Troop whose Scouts go out on many outdoor camping adventures throughout New England and beyond. True to our mission as Scouts, our GeoCoin's mission is also to travel to places where adventure happens! By furthering our GeoCoin along in its' travels you are - in a sense - participating in Troop 9 Scouts' activities, as well. Good luck in your travels...and please keep our GeoCoin warm, dry and well-fed just like our Scouts are!
